Happy New Year

Happy New Year to all my followers on WordPress. I know this year has been a difficult one for so many, not just in Ireland, but all around the world.

Let me share some positive things that happened this year in my life.

I’ll be an aunt again in early 2022
I’m more self aware of my feelings
I rely more on myself and less on other people
I turned the big 3-0 in April

Even though its been a hard year, never ever think that you’re a failure. Getting through last year and this year alone is an achievement in itself.

To all the healthcare workers, keyworkers, carers, schools, front line staff and to everyone else who is just getting by.

THANK YOU

All of you chose to put your lives at risk to save others from this nasty disease. There is no greater gift than a gift of life. Families were reunited for Christmas. And its because of you we all get to spend 2022 together. You’ve all proved that we as a nation can and will beat this disease together.

Since its nearly Christmas…

Ho! Ho! Ho!

That time of the year again is just around the corner. Every year as far as I can remember, me, my brother and my dad would go into town on Christmas Eve. We would look around St Stevens Green and get something to eat afterwards. I’ve always enjoyed spending time with my dad and brother on that day.

But of course, you don’t have to head into town or even outside your home to spend Christmas with family. You can also do some of the traditions below or make up your own.

Some traditions may include:

Family Matching Pyjamas
Heading into town
Playing card and board games with friends and family
Baking Christmas pudding and pies
Listening to classics like Away in a Manger
Christmas Parties
Get together’s

And of course the list can go on forever.
