- The only thing we fear is fear itself
- Fear is like a rocking chair. It gives you something to do but it doesn’t get you anywhere
- Dance in the rain! Better to be busy than to be busy worrying
- Nothing in life is to be feared. Only to be understood – now is the time to understand, so you may spend less time in fear!
- Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving
- You just have to keep driving down the road. It’s going to bend and curve and you’ll speed up and slow down, but the road keeps going
- You don’t have to make yourself miserable to be successful…success isn’t about working hard, it’s about working smart
- If you feel ‘burnout’ setting in, if you feel demoralized and exhausted, it is best, for the sake of everyone, to withdraw and restore yourself

How to start thinking positive
Have you ever came across a person who always seems to be happy and positive? I’m sure you have! I have spent years listening to others and think, ‘how can they be so positive and happy’?
Heres a few tips:
- Keep notice of your thinking patterns – especially those ‘what ifs’
- Keep track of how your feeling through out the day – keep a diary if it helps, that way you’ll be able to see a pattern after a few weeks.
- Get Enough Sleep – A good nights sleep can help dramatically
- Eat Healthy – eating a well balanced meal will make you feel better
- Get exercise – No, no one is asking you to join the gym, walking is beneficial too
- Get talking – Talking about on different subjects
- Make a ‘mental health stop sign’
- Make a ‘Wellness Tool Box’
The list goes on and on. Its down to preference. In order to keep up the positive thinking is like anything else. You need work on it, it won’t happen over night, but with time and practice, you will become better at it. And remember, just because your having a bad day, don’t start to think that it isn’t working, this is many ways to put positive thinking into practice. After a while, you should start to thinking positive. Everybody has days where they think negative, but its the way we express it that matters.
Don’t run away from your fears
I love this quote. I love to break down words and make new meanings for each letter. This one I seen a long time ago on Facebook!
F.E.A.R has two meanings:
- Forget Everything And Run
- Face Everything And Rise
Its perfectly ok to not to think positive all the time
Yes, we all get those bad days. I even get those days where I just want to wind down and not be bothered with anyone. Usually when I’m out and about by myself would be my time to help me relax. I normally have my headphones on listening to upbeat songs, while on the bus (usually end up fallen asleep).
I then try to brush things off by thinking more exciting things like going to the shop or spending time with my family or even more simply playing with my dogs. I just randomly go up stairs to my bedroom and start to meditate. Again I’d end up falling asleep…. Getting the drift here are ye! Sleep cures everything ha!
Diagnoses of Aspergers Syndrome
I have Asperger’s Syndrome and I have difficulty lying so I’m going to be completely straight with you. I want you to share this post to as many people as possible. Please don’t stop reading here, I would like to explain a few things if you would let me.
I was not diagnosed with Asperger’s until I was 22 years old, so yep, I spent all my childhood and my teen years not knowing who I was, or why I was so different to most other people. It wasn’t an easy journey. I didn’t know how to cope, I didn’t like myself, I hated who I was. Every day was a heartache for me.
Even as a child I’ve always tried to remain polite and nice to everyone I meet and that’s something no diagnosis, and no person can change, that will always be who I am. I love helping people. Since finding out about my diagnosis and how those on the spectrum can be separated and disconnected from the rest of society I wondering…. wait a minute, what if I can bring them together? What if I could make everyone happy?
I found out about Temple Grandin and all these other wonderful people on the spectrum that was advocating, succeeding and making people happy. I wanted to do that, I wanted to take myself to another level. I wanted to support and advocate for Aspergers.
Know that you’re not alone. Whether you have Asperger’s, Autism, are a parent, a relative, a friend. You are NOT alone. My Asperger’s makes me very passionate, and you can trust me.
