On Valentines Day, I think about
The people who are dear
How much they add to life’s delight
Whenever they are near
You’ve always been a total joy,
Such pleasant company
I very much appreciate

Make 2020 your year
January is the start of a new chapter. Its was also the start of a new month, new century and a new year rolled into one.
2019 was such a busy year for me. From my sisters wedding in March, to travelling to Spain, my nephew starting big school and then finishing the year by going to Belfast.
This year I’m going to try and make it peaceful and enjoyable. I hope to spend more time with my family and less time being hard on myself. Of course there are going to be challenges, but nothing that I can’t handle.
With the right mind set, you can too face everything life throws at you. You just have to believe in yourself and believe you can do it.

Where to start
I’ve come to realise that I haven’t been posting anything lately. This is simply because I’m not sure what to write. I made an attempt to write about Christmas presents but got side tracked when my mind couldn’t decide what to do for it. I’ve also been trying to recover from the nasty flu!!!
I’ll try to upload more content as soon as my head is a bit clearer. But for now, I’m just going to try and relax and hopefully something will pop up.
Chao for now
Brain teasers
You are in a room that has three switches and a closed door. The switches control three light bulbs on the other side of the door. Once you open the door, you may never touch the switches again. How can you definitvely tell which switch is connected to each light bulb?
Answer: Turn on the first two switches. Leave them on for five minutes. Once five minutes have passed, turn off the second switch, leaving one switch on. Now go through the door. The light that is connected to the second switch. Whichever of the other two is warm to the touch is connected to the second switch. The bulb that is cold is connected switch that was turned on. Thought this brain teaser hard?

Just because my path is different, doesn’t mean I’m lost
You cannot heal in the same environment where you got sick
Strong people have a strong sense of worth and self awareness. They don’t need the approval of others
We can either complain that rose bushes have thorns or we can rejoice that thorns have roses
I can’t control your behaviour, nor do I want that burden… but I will not apologise for refusing to be disrespected, lied to, or mistreated. I have standards, step up or step out.
You can be the most beautiful person in the world everyone sees light and rainbows when they look at you. But if you yourself don’t see it, all that doesnt matter. Every second you are doubting your worth every moment that you criticise yourself, is a second of your life wasted, is a moment of your life thrown away. Its not like you have forever, so don’t waste any of your seconds, don’t even throw away one of your moments.
Good insights
Having a good insight within yourself is key to start living a positive life. For me, its about what makes the difference between knowing what made you feel angry, and how to deal with it, to what made you angry and losing control of your temper.
It can be hard to tackle at first. It can also be daunting. What I’ve done in the past is that when ever I felt angry, I’d write it in a diary or on Microsoft word. I’d write everything that was on my mind. That way I could physically see what was making me angry.
In the past, I’d lose the head all together. I’d scream and shout for hours and eventually going to sleep. So writing was my outlook when I got angry. I also removed myself from that particular situation for a while until I calmed down.
Don’t get me wrong, you will have days where you will feel the need to shout and moan about the things life throws at us, thats what makes us human at the end of the day. Anger is a healthy emotion that helps us keep focused. When anger gets out of control and your unable to get it control of it is the issue. Some people may need counselling.
The next time you feel angry, try and ask yourself
Q– What am I angry at?
A- maybe i should write it down if I can’t figure it out. You will see a pattern thats causing you to get angry after a while.
Q- Is it worth getting angry over?
A- If so, talking about it with someone is a good start. Crying into a pillow is also a good way to relieve stress.
Q– What if I’m alone and out and about and I feel an outburst coming on?
A- Take a few deep breaths, think positive and try to count as many colour cars as possible
(blue, black, silver etc)
Q– Is this problem solvable?
A- If yes, then say to yourself, “I’ve been here before and I was alright, so I’m going to get through this and I’ll be back to normal in no time”
