Beating anxiety effectively

For me personally, to understand anxiety, you must understand the feeling. Some people might get a lump in their throat where others might feel sick. Others might get headaches where others might have shortness of breath or having that tight feeling in your chest. Everybody experiences anxiety differently, so your not alone.

Knowing when and why your feeling anxious is essential. It is normal for people to experience anxiety before an exam or an interview or even starting something new. But when it starts to interfere with your daily life, thats when you should get help. Remember, asking for help is not a weakness, it is a strength. So don’t feel like your hopeless, because your not.

When I’m anxious, I like to do a few things. If one thing doesn’t work, I’ll go and try the next thing. I’d meditate, I’d try and take deep breaths, listen to music, writing about how I’m feeling is another one. I find this meditation really helpful. Here, you can find three different types of meditation.

Other ideas I’d use would include listening to youtube, having a little cry, if you have any pets to rub.

You are what you think you are.
